Aston Villa welcomed Manchester United at Villa Park earlier this evening as they looked to secure a win at home in the Premier League. The Villans made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 17th minute when Rasmus Hojlund got his name on the scoresheet. Unai Emery’s men failed to come up with a response and were trailing 1-0 at the half-time interval.
Douglas Luiz managed to equalise for the West Midlands club in the 67th minute. However, Scott McTominay restored Man United’s lead in the 86th minute as the Villans crashed to a tough 2-1 loss in front of their home supporters.
