Kaide Gordon absence at Liverpool explained

Liverpool are wary of Kaide Gordon's return from his pelvic injury.

Gordon, who made his first-team breakthrough under Jurgen Klopp last season, hasn't featured at any level for the Reds since appearing in the 3-0 Premier League 2 defeat at Leeds United on February 7.

Mystery has subsequently surrounded his absence, although it has now emerged the 17-year-old winger has been troubled by a pelvic injury linked to his physical growth, says the Liverpool Echo.

Liverpool have been keeping a careful eye on the issue with the player following his own specialised training programme.

The Reds have not placed any timeline on his comeback, but Gordon is understood to now be closer to making a return to action.
