There has a lot of discussion around Kai Havertz’s form since his £65m move to Arsenal in the summer.
The German has struggled to make an impact since his arrival from Chelsea, even finding himself on the bench for the recent games against Everton and Tottenham.
But he was back in the starting line-up for today’s trip to Bournemouth and will be relieved after finally breaking his Arsenal goal duck.
Martin Ødegaard (who himself scored from the spot in the first half) earned a second half penalty for the Gunners before Bukayo Saka generously gifted the ball to Havertz to get off the mark, which he did, slotting into the bottom left corner from 12 yards which makes it his first goal in 20 club appearances.
Nice touch from Saka, and now Havertz’s life at Arsenal might be about to take off.
