Juventus reportedly want Nuno Tavares to replace Alex Sandro who will leave the club in the summer and could even push to sign him in January.

Nuno Tavares is enjoying a loan spell quite similar to his first season at Arsenal. Starting well, it’s all gone a bit wonky recently with the defender coming in for criticism.

Still, that hasn’t stopped him being linked with a move to top European clubs with his Arsenal future apparently in doubt. He admitted that he wanted an option for Marseille to purchase him included in his loan deal, but Arsenal refused.

At Juventus, Alex Sandro is out of contract in the summer and will not be getting a new one. That means he’s off somewhere else and the Old Lady needs a new player for that position.

Sport.fr note that Juventus have identified Tavares as that player.

They state that while Juventus will, of course, have to negotiate with Arsenal, they could also speak with Marseille about releasing the 22-year-old from his loan so he can move in January.

Sport do not see that as likely with Tavares still starting games for his loan side. He played the full 90 minutes against Alexandre Lacazette’s Lyon last weekend. Marseille won thanks to Samuel Gigot’s second goal of the season.
