Juventus

After back-to-back draws against Atalanta and Torino, Juventus returned to the winning ways with a 3-2 victory against Empoli in Serie A.

The Old Lady have been clinging on to fourth over the last few weeks. But the job is only half done, with Atalanta trailing them only by three points with a game in hand.

Max Allegri’s men can still dream about the Scudetto as they are only separated from leaders Napoli by seven points.

New signing Dusan Vlahovic is off to a great start to his life in Turin, netting five goals in six games. He also leads the Serie A scoring charts with 20 goals.

Juve had the better of Spezia in the reverse fixture, and they will be eyeing a similar result this weekend.

Spezia

Spezia suffered a 1-0 defeat against AS Roma in Serie A last time out, where Tammy Abraham scored a last-gasp penalty.

The defeat was their third in a row, and they have a point to prove against the Old Lady.

Spezia have already beaten title contenders Napoli and AC Milan away from home this season, and they are looking to make Juventus their next victims.

Torino loanee Simone Verde is off to a flying start, scoring two goals in three games for Spezia. He will look to make his presence felt against Allegri’s men.

Team News

Juve will miss the services of Denis Zakaria, Weston McKennie, Kaio Jorge and Federico Chiesa through injuries.

There are also doubts over the availability of key players like Paulo Dybala, Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini.

Spezia manager Thiago Motta will be without Leo Sena, Ebrima Colley and Aimar Sher. Jakub Kiwior and Kelvin Amian are suspended for the clash.

Possible Juventus line-up: Wojciech Szczesny, Juan Cuadrado, Matthijs de Ligt, Mattia De Sciglio, Luca Pellegrini, Marley Ake, Manuel Locatelli, Arthur Melo, Adrien Rabiot, Dusan Vlahovic, Moise Kean.

Possible Spezia line-up: Ivan Provedel, Salva Ferrer, Martin Erlic, Dimitris Nikolaou, Arkadiusz Reca, Viktor Kovalenko, Aurelien Nguiamba, Simone Bastoni, Daniele Verde, M’Bala Nzola, Kevin Agudelo.

Prediction

Juventus have to continue their impressive run to keep Atalanta at bay. The Old Lady’s quality attack, headed by Vlahovic, is expected to cause trouble for the visitors.

Juventus 3-1 Spezia.
