The clash between Juventus and AC Milan is approaching, with both teams ready to compete for a place in the Italian Super Cup final. The match will take place on Friday 3 January, at 20:00 CET at Al-Awwal Park in Riyadh. Coach Sérgio Conceição's team is set to face Juventus, led by coach Thiago Motta, in a match that promises excitement. With both teams eager to start the year with a trophy, anticipation is high. The present is the Italian Super Cup, this is the Match Preview of our semi-final.
LATEST FROM MILANELLO The first appointment in the new year comes in the wake of days full of news. Before leaving for Saudi Arabia, the Rossoneri announced the change in managerial direction with the arrival of Sérgio Conceição, his first time in Italy as a Coach after some experiences in our country as a player. In recent weeks, there has been a lack of consistent positive results and the chance to play for a trophy represents an opportunity to turn things around. Compared to the last few outings, there is good news from the injured players: Pulisic trained with the group, Loftus-Cheek and Musah are also trying to come back from their recovery, as is Rafa Leão. On the other hand, Chukwueze and Okafor did not leave for Riyadh. As for the line-up, the question still remains between a two-pronged set-up or one with a single striker, with the Rossoneri's number 11 and possibly Jiménez manning the flanks.
"I found a humble team, willing to learn and understand what I ask of them", said Coach Conceição in the conference. "This is a very important basis for doing quality work. There was little time to work, but we tried to be decisive in saying what we need to improve from a game point of view, to be competitive and try to win against Juventus. We have to use the talent we have been given to do well. We want to do better than the last few years and build a better future."
LATEST FROM JUVENTUS The only undefeated team in our championship - their only defeat in the last 31 official matches came in the Champions League against Stuttgart - Thiago Motta's renewed Juventus are not experiencing the best moment in their season. Since the previous game at San Siro at the end of November, in fact, there have been four draws in five league matches (two wins in the cups against Cagliari and Manchester City), which have distanced the Bianconeri from the top of the table. Compared to the league match, however, the injury situation has improved, with the list of unavailable players reduced to just Milik and Weah in addition to the long-suffering Bremer and Cabal and captain Danilo, who is on the sidelines. Juventus should therefore be close to their full strength, with Vlahović the only forward supported by the trio formed by González, Koopmeiners and Yıldız.
"We will be ready because we know what we have to do against a great team, who are used to important competitions," said Thiago Motta on the eve of the match. "In the end, everything makes a difference in a football match, starting with the small details. We expect a great team, with good players and a coach who did very well with Porto. The managerial change will bring something new, but we are ready for anything: that's the important thing."

LATEST FROM SUPERCOPPA ITALIANA Andrea Colombo, the 34-year-old referee from Como, will be the match director. The young Lombardy official has refereed three previous matches with the Rossoneri, including one this season: the match against Napoli at San Siro on 29 October. Completing the refereeing team will be assistants Perrotto and Dei Giudici, fourth official Ayroldi, VAR Paterna and AVAR Marini.
For the second consecutive year, the Supercoppa will see the participation of four teams: the top two teams of the 2023/24 Serie A season (Inter and AC Milan) and the finalists of the 2023/24 Coppa Italia (Juventus and Atalanta). Whoever wins the match between the Bianconeri and the Rossoneri will progress to the final, on Monday 6 January, and face Inter who won in the first semi-final against Atalanta by 2-0. It should be noted that in the Supercoppa Italiana, there is no extra time: in the event of a draw at the end of 90 minutes, the match will be decided on penalties.
