Rodrigo Bentancur joined Juventus from Boca Juniors for €9.5m in April 2017, though they allowed the Argentines to retain 50 per cent of any future transfer fee.
Now, Juventus want to take advantage of Bentancur’s rising stock and keep 100 per cent of any transfer fee for themselves.
According to Corriere di Torino, Juventus will make an offer to Boca Juniors to have this clause removed.
They will offer the Argentines cash up front, which will guarantee them a big windfall while also allowing Juventus to earn a big fee in the future.
Bentancur started all five matches for Uruguay in last summer’s World Cup and has appeared in six of Juve’s eight Serie A matches this season, starting three times.
