Juventus and Chelsea transfer target Karim Adeyemi has confirmed he has no intention of leaving Borussia Dortmund. ‘My plans have not changed.’
The Germany international has one goal in four senior caps and can play in a variety of attacking roles, primarily the left wing, but also the right or as a centre-forward.
It all made him an intriguing prospect for the summer transfer market for Juve and Chelsea, but several days ago it was reported that Borussia Dortmund had taken him off the list of potential players on sale.
Adeyemi confirmed as much in an interview with German paper Bild today.
“My focus is solely on Borussia Dortmund, as it was before these rumours started circulating. I am happy at Borussia Dortmund. I want to stay at this club and my plans have not changed.”
Is it true that his father spoke directly with Juventus?
“A lot of things were written, but it’s not true,” he assured.
This is why Juventus have over the last couple of days instead turned their attention firmly towards Nico Gonzalez of Fiorentina, who plays in a similar role.
They had faced competition from Atalanta, but as of today seem to be the favourites to sign the Argentina international.
It is possible they will try to get a player involved in a partial swap deal, such as Weston McKennie or Arthur Melo.
