Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo has been rebuilding communication lines with Real Madrid.

Ronaldo has been linked with a Juventus exit over the next year despite joining the Italian club for around £100million in the summer of 2018.

Marca says the 35-year-old is contemplating a return to Madrid and has reached out to the Spanish giants to try and orchestrate a move.

The report claims that the striker, who scored 450 goals in 438 matches for Los Blancos between 2009 and 2018, cut off contact with Real Madrid completely after swapping the Spanish capital for Turin two years ago.

Ronaldo only stayed in contact with Real Madrid full-back and close friend Marcelo but that situation changed when the Portugal winger asked president Florentino Perez for a seat at the Bernabeu to watch last March's El Clasico contest.

The Real Madrid president granted the request and Ronaldo shared his delight at watching his former side beat arch-rivals Barcelona 2-0 on their way to last season's LaLiga title.
