Juventus are engaged in intensive negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain to secure the permanent signing of Randal Kolo Muani, yet face the threat of emerging interest from Premier League teams in the French striker.
Kolo Muani has made Juventus his clear first choice for the upcoming season. The 26-year-old forward impressed on loan in Turin last term with 10 goals in 22 appearances, swiftly becoming a crucial outlet under manager Igor Tudor. Tudor, who extended his contract as head coach until 2027, has retained daily contact with PSG to drive the deal forward.
Despite Juventus’ advantage, Premier League teams have formally enquired about Kolo Muani’s availability. Manchester United are rebuilding their attack but are now closing in on RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, while Newcastle have contacted PSG. The Magpies had sought a deal for Sesko, as the club look to sign a forward amid Callum Wilson’s exit and Alexander Isak’s desire for a move.
Tottenham Hotspur have also registered interest, presenting PSG with a permanent offer, which may appeal more than Juventus’ loan-and-obligation structure.
PSG’s initial €60 million (£52.4m) valuation has reportedly been reduced to around €50m (£43.6m). Juventus have tabled a loan proposal with an obligation to buy: €10 million loan fee followed by €35-40 million for a permanent transfer. This staggered structure aligns with Juventus’ financial fair play strategies, allowing the club to spread the expenditure.
General Manager Damien Comolli has urged a swift resolution, targeting completion before Juventus’ first Serie A fixture on August 24th. A final agreement would not only satisfy the coach’s desire for a proven goal-getter but also free the club to focus on other transfer priorities.
Kolo Muani’s potential arrival is part of a comprehensive squad rebuild led by Tudor. Juventus have already secured Jonathan David on a free transfer, reinforcing depth up front. This move adds competition places fresh pressure on Dusan Vlahovic, whose contract renewal talks have stalled amid the club’s strategic shift. The Serbian is free to leave if a suitable offer arrives.
On the flanks, Juventus invested €30.4 million to make Francisco Conceição’s loan spell permanent after the Portuguese winger’s impressive cameo last season. In midfield, a swap deal with Porto brought in João Mário for €11.4 million plus €1.2 million in add-ons, with Alberto Costa heading the opposite direction.
As the transfer window edges towards its final weeks, Juventus must finalize Kolo Muani’s capture to outmanoeuvre Premier League suitors and fulfil Tudor’s blueprint for a fast, fluid attack.
Should the deal conclude on Juventus’ terms, the French international will spearhead a reinvigorated front line, setting the tone for a potential Serie A title challenge and renewed Champions League ambitions in 2025/26.
