Juventus star reveals ‘love’ for Liverpool before Man Utd transfer fight – ‘Gerrard made me dream’ | OneFootball

Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot has revealed his “love” for Liverpool amid reports linking him with a summer move to the Premier League.

Many United supporters were against this transfer but his form has picked up this season. He has been more involved going forward as he has grabbed seven goals and three assists for Juventus in 23 Serie A outings.

The France international’s improved performances are coming while he is looking to secure himself a big-money contract with Juventus or elsewhere.

It currently looks likely that Rabiot will leave the Italian giants in the summer when his contract expires. Fabrizio Romano recently revealed that he would “love to play in England”.

“Rabiot could leave Juventus as a free agent in the summer, the Premier League is his biggest dream,” Romano revealed.

“He’d love to play in England, but he doesn’t have a favourite club, or at least not that I’m not aware of at the moment.”

But Rabiot has refused to rule out staying at Juventus beyond the end of this season.

“There’s [a] possibility of leaving, but there is also the possibility of signing another contract with Juventus. I feel good in Turin,” Rabiot told tuttosport.

“I’m doing well here, I also have [a] good relationship with the manager.”

Yet at the same time, he has revealed his “love” for Liverpool and Steven Gerrard.

“I loved Liverpool a lot because I was a fan of Steven Gerrard, who made me dream… and so I therefore followed the Reds,” Rabiot added.

“My other idol was Zinedine Zidane.”

Jonathan Johnson has told Caught Offside that he expects Man Utd to “revisit” a move for Rabiot.

‘With Manchester United last summer, there was some talk that the move fell through because of his wage demands, but it’s also worth remembering that United were not in the best shape at that time,” Johnson wrote for Caught Offside.

He added: ‘I don’t think it’s necessarily clear that Rabiot still fits in with what Ten Hag is trying to do now, but Rabiot on a free transfer is a lot more tempting than having to pay a transfer fee for him, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see clubs revisit that.

‘I think many people also forget that, although Rabiot burst onto the scene at senior level with PSG, he actually spent a few years in the Manchester City academy, so he does have experience of playing in England I think it’s somewhere he’d like to test himself again at some point in the future.’
