La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that Phillips is officially on the market and Juve see him as a potentially cheap and temporary solutions to their demands in midfield, with Teun Koopmeiners seen as the long-term target by the Bianconeri.

Juve sporting director Cristiano Guintoli will hold a meeting with the Man City counterparts as soon as possible and it could even take place this week, because the Citizens leave for Saudi Arabia for the FIFA Club World Cup later. Juve are keen to understand the feasibility of the operation, as they would like a six-month long loan deal with an option to buy in the summer.

Phillips believes that his spot at the Euros in 2024 is at risk because of the lack of game time at City. Manchester United, Tottenham and Newcastle United are all keeping tabs on the England international, but his agent has also given a positive indication about his intentions regarding Juve.

The Old Lady do have other midfield options on their shortlist but Phillips could prove to be an important one.
