Reports in Italy confirm that Canada international Jonathan David will be in Italy to complete his medical with Juventus by the end of the working week after finally coming to an agreement on personal terms with the Bianconeri.
Juventus have a deal in place to sign centre-forward David, who is available as a free agent after the expiry of his contract with Lille at the end of the 2024-25 season.
The 25-year-old, who Juventus have been monitoring since 2023, is expected to put pen to paper on a five-year contract running until the summer of 2030, which will earn him €6m per season plus up to €1m-€2m in bonuses per season, Football Italia understands.

While the deal is described as a ‘free transfer’, it is understood that David’s agents and representatives were seeking in excess of €10m in auxiliary fees and signing bonuses.
According to updates from Gianluca Di Marzio on Wednesday, David is expected to be in Turin on Friday to complete his medical and the final formalities of his move to the Allianz Stadium.

The medical test is expected to take place in the morning, making it possible for an official announcement to arrive over the weekend.
While negotiations have been ongoing for several months, David’s arrival still comes earlier than originally expected following Canada’s surprise elimination on penalties by Guatemala at the quarter-final stage of the CONCACAF Gold Cup over the weekend.
