Juventus are said to be ‘seriously considering’ brining Claudio Marchisio back to Turin.
Marchisio ended a 25-year association with the club to join Zenit last summer, before cancelling his two-year contract after just ten months.
According to Tuttosport, Juventus are already evaluating sporting and financial reasons to re-sign the 33-year-old.
Marchisio remains a fan favourite and sporting director Fabio Paratici remains insistent on a short-term deal.
The only stumbling block could be his persistent knee problems which hampered his final seasons in Serie A.
Juventus are also expected to announce the return of legendary goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon.
