The game couldn’t have started any better for Massimiliano Allegri’s side, with Paolo Dybala drilling Juve into the lead from 20 yards out in the opening 10 minutes.

However, the Juventus head coach would’ve been concerned by the Argentine leaving the pitch with a suspected hamstring injury during the first half.

Leonardo Bonucci doubled the lead from the penalty spot just before half-time after Federico Chiesa’s shot appeared to strike Nicola Murru’s arm inside the box.

But there was still time before the break for Maya Yoshida to half that advantage when he leapt highest to head home Antonio Candreva’s corner.

The hosts started the second half brightly and restored their two-goal cushion through Manuel Locatelli’s first goal for the club.

Dejan Kulusevski took advantage of the Sampdoria defence being sleep before cutting the ball back for Locatelli to fire into the empty net.

Out of nowhere it turned into a shaky last ten minutes for Juventus after Candreva got on to Adrien Silva’s cut-back to fire into the bottom corner to bring the visitors within one goal again but Allegri’s men saw the game out.

Juventus move up to eighth after their first home win of the season while Sampdoria drop to 14th.
