Juventus have given Daniele Rugani the all-clear to fly out for a medical, as he is joining Ajax on loan for the 2024-25 season.
According to Sportitalia, the agreement was reached between the clubs and he will take a flight to Amsterdam tomorrow morning.
The central defender turned 30 last month and only recently signed a new contract to June 2026.
However, he is not part of the plan for new coach Thiago Motta and was left out of all pre-season matches.
There was also interest from Bologna and Genoa to remain in Serie A, but he was convinced by new Ajax coach Francesco Farioli to try the Eredivisie instead.
It is expected to be a ‘dry’ loan, so without an option to buy.
Rugani has been on the Juventus books since their youth academy in 2012, going on various loans to Empoli, Stade Rennes and Cagliari.
He amassed 148 competitive appearances in the Bianconeri jersey, also scoring 11 goals from central defence, and has seven senior caps for Italy.
