Juventus have reportedly placed unsettled Paris Saint-Germain defender Milan Skriniar at the top of their wishlist for the January transfer window. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, the former Inter captain has become the leading candidate to replace Gleison Bremer.
Skriniar teamed up with PSG in the summer of 2023 after running down his contract at Giuseppe Meazza. But despite moving to France as one of Europe’s finest center-backs, the 29-year-old has stuttered in Paris. Therefore, he could fancy a return to Serie A, with Juventus ready and waiting.
Cristiano Giuntoli needs to find a suitable replacement for Bremer. The Brazilian suffered a season-ending knee injury against RB Leipzig last month. In his absence, Thiago Motta’s once-impregnable defensive line has shown numerous signs of weakness, forcing Juventus to scourge the market.
There’s no doubt that Skriniar would be a massive coup for Juventus. However, it’s worth noting that the Slovakia international earns around €10 million net per season at the Parc des Princes.
In addition to Skriniar, Juventus are keeping close tabs on Empoli’s Ardian Ismajli. Moreover, they’ve recently added Tottenham Hotspur ace Radu Dragusin to their list of targets. The Romanian star has failed to adapt to the new surroundings since leaving Genoa for North London last winter.
Dragusin was part of the Juventus academy between 2018 and 2020. However, he never had a chance to demonstrate his skills in the senior squad before joining Genoa on a permanent transfer in 2023. With Spurs open to selling their flop, this could be an opportunity for Giuntoli.
