Juventus are reportedly plotting a remarkable summer swoop for wantaway Napoli superstar Victor Osimhen. According to Tuttosport, Cristiano Giuntoli is confident of getting the deal over the line despite numerous obstacles.

Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan in September, will return to Napoli in June. However, he’ll likely cut ties with Antonio Conte’s side in the summer, with Juventus ready to pounce and bring the Nigerian center-forward to Turin.

Dusan Vlahovic’s future at the Allianz Stadium hangs by a thread. Indeed, Juventus coach Thiago Motta prefers Paris Saint-Germain loanee Randal Kolo Muani over the former Fiorentina star. Therefore, Vlahovic could pack his bags at the end of the season.

Cashing in on the Serbia international would allow Juventus to pursue a high-profile center-forward. And Giuntoli wants Osimhen to partner with Kolo Muani next season, provided the record-time Italian champions can find common ground with PSG over the Frenchman’s permanent arrival.

Meanwhile, the Juventus sporting director aims to leverage his relationship with Osimhen’s representatives to lure him to Turin. That could be easier said than done, considering Napoli bigwig Aurelio De Laurentiis is reluctant to sell the 26-year-old to another Serie A club.

Napoli would ideally offload Osimhen to another European top-five league. However, Juventus will test the water. Giuntoli signed the Nigerian from Lille in 2020 during his tenure at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona and will try to arrange a reunion at the Allianz.
