Juventus owner John Elkann insists he has ‘full trust’ in coach Thiago Motta but warns that games against Torino are ‘always tricky.’
Confidence is high at Juventus as the Bianconeri prepare to host city rivals Torino in the Derby della Mole this evening.
The Bianconeri are sixth in the Serie A table, but they are the only unbeaten team in the league and are four points below leaders Napoli.
Elkann won’t be at the stadium. He attended an event to launch the Agnelli Chair of Italian Culture in China in the presence of Italy’s President Sergio Mattarella.

Even from afar, however, Elkann backed Motta and the team just a few hours before the Serie A meeting with their city rivals.
“Derbies are always tricky, but the team is setting up well,” he said via TMW.
“I have full trust in Thiago Motta. He truly has taken charge of the team well.”
This will be the first Turin derby for Thiago Motta, who was appointed by Juventus last summer and signed a three-year contract.
Juventus are unbeaten in 35 of the last 36 Turin derby.
The build-up was marred by clashes between Juventus and Torino ultras in the city centre last night.
