Atalanta and Juventus will face each other on Saturday, August 16th, and both come into this match with some issues still to be resolved.
However, both clubs can rejoice for two different reasons: one linked to the transfer market and one thanks to their fans.
Juventus are working to sell some players and have some cash to spend in this final part of the transfer window: one of the names on the way out is Douglas Luiz, who is being sought by Nottingham Forest, as reported by The Athletic .
His transfer could finance the purchase of Matt O'Riley, the Brighton midfielder who has been offered to Juventus. The player has already expressed his full availability for the move, according to Fabrizio Romano, and is waiting for Juve to make progress.
Atalanta - who host Juventus on August 16 - already sold out of home season tickets for the 25/26 Serie A season in July. A full 93.5% of season ticket holders exercised their pre-emption right, while general sales sold out within an hour.
The fans also gave a resounding response to yesterday's open-door training session at the stadium: according to Il Corriere di Bergamo, they gave a standing ovation to new coach Ivan Jurić, chanting personalised chants for several players. No mention of the fans was made for Ademola Lookman, who is training alone away from Italy.
