Juventus may once again return to the French market after they missed out on Jean-Clair Todibo (24) this summer, with Foot Mercato reporting that the Italian club are interested in RC Lens’ Kevin Danso (25).
Juventus had looked as if they were in pole position to secure the services of Nice’s Todibo with the centre-back thought to be prioritising a move to Serie A this summer. However, the Italian giants were unable to meet Nice’s asking price, and West Ham’s persistence earned the favour of Todibo who eventually agreed to join the Premier League side.
However, as Foot Mercato writes, Juventus face some issues in securing the signature of Danso. Lens are willing to let the centre-back leave this summer, however, not for anything less than €20 to €25 million upfront.
As Marseille found out in their negotiations for Elye Wahi (21), Lens do not want to allow for their players to leave on loan to spread the cost of the other team’s finances, which could be a problem for Juventus who are reportedly limited in how much they can spend immediately.
