Juventus are already planning for the future despite their economic situation, which has already seen the club docked 15 points following an investigation into their transfer dealings.

According to Calciomercato, Juve want to snap up a long-term replacement to stalwart Alex Sandro, whose current deal expires at the end of the season.

The Brazilian international has been a mainstay for the Bianconeri since joining from Portuguese side Porto in 2015.

Sandro has made 26 appearances across all competitions for Juventus this season, contributing two assists.

But his time with the Italian giants is fast coming to an end, as there are currently no talks of an extended deal for the 32-year-old.

The Italian giants have already lined up Sandro’s replacement. He could be replaced by his compatriot Carlos Augusto with the club targeting the AC Monza defender.

The Brazilian has been a revelation for the newly promoted side this season, contributing four goals and three assists in 20 Serie A appearances from left back.

Augusto is one of the club’s top performers as they look to establish themselves in the Italian top flight this term, but they could struggle to hold on to the impressive defender longer than next summer.

Juventus are already facing sanctions for their past transfer dealings, so the club will be restricted from splashing the cash on new faces next summer.

They are already planning a summer clearout, with several first-team stars set to leave the club at the end of the season.

However, they have Augusto in their crosshairs and are already planning a possible swap deal with Monza, who currently have some on-loan Juve players on their roster.

Juve could test Monza’s resolve by offering Federico Gatti, who has made just nine appearances for the Bianconeri this term, in a player-plus-cash deal to snap up Augusto.

The Old Lady could also use one of Filippo Ranocchia or Nicolo Rovella, both currently on loan at Monza, as a makeweight for a potential deal.
