Serie A giants Juventus want defensive additions to the side in January and Manchester United’s Tyrell Malacia has now emerged as an option.

Malacia returned to action this season after a prolonged absence due to knee injury and the left-back hasn’t quite made his mark in the first-team yet.

Mirko di Natale has reported that Malacia is leaving United in January and Netherlands boss Louis van Gaal has previously noticed his ability at centre-back as well. Juve want a versatile option in the backline and with Danilo leaving, they need a player of that type desperate.

Malacia is seen as ‘last minute opportunity’ by Juve in January and they could come forward with a potential loan deal till the end of the season, with Bremer and Juan Cabal out due to knee injuries themselves

Thiago Motta has usually used players who are versatile and adaptable and Malacia is possible seen as a player of that type.
