Juventus have made several approaches for Lille forward Jonathan David, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has held talks with the Canadian striker more than once. David has had a mixed season in Ligue 1, scoring only three league goals in 2025.

However, he has tallied 23 goals and 10 assists across all competitions for Lille. The 25-year-old’s contract expires in June, making him available for a free transfer this summer.

Juventus are willing to offer the striker a net salary of €7 million per season. The deal could also include a €10m signing-on fee and €5m-€6m for his representatives.

Arsenal could rival Juventus for David

Arsenal are reportedly in the race for the Lille striker. They are looking for another centre forward to support their main target, Viktor Gyokeres.

The Canadian international is a strong option for adding depth to Arsenal’s squad, but the allure of a move to Italy could prove too tempting.

Juventus believe signing a striker of David’s calibre without a transfer fee is a shrewd decision.

It would allow them to invest more in other areas of the squad. David’s experience and ability to score goals would make him a valuable addition to their attack.

He would also have the opportunity to play regularly and compete for major honours in Serie A, which could appeal to him.
