Juan Cuardado came closest for the hosts in the first half as his shot smashed the crossbar before Alvaro Morata’s delicate chipped goal was ruled out for offside by VAR.

The visitors then stunned the Allianz Stadium by taking the lead when Mattia Zaccagni’s delicious through ball was slotted home by Andrea Favilli.

Juventus then upped the tempo in their search for a equaliser and Paulo Dybala could be considered unlucky when his thunderous effort from 25-yards out smashed off the crossbar.

However, minutes later Dejan Kulusevski did make the breakthrough with a direct run into the penalty area that resulted into a classy finish into the bottom corner.

Dybala came close again in the closing minutes as Andrea Pirlo’s side searched for a winner but found his shot skim the far post.

The champions have now moved above Atalanta into fifth in the table, three points behind league leaders Milan.
