They got off to the best possible start when a deep cross to the far post was met by a diving Dušan Vlahović header and he celebrated by mimicking the departing Paulo Dybala’s celebration in tribute.

After 17 minutes, things got emotional when Giorgio Chiellini was substituted for Matthijs de Ligt and said a heartfelt goodbye to the home support in his final game there after 18 years at the club.

And Álvaro Morata put a bigger smile on the veteran’s face when he doubled the Bianconeri’s lead, capitalising on Lazio’s stand-off defending to curl into the far corner after excellent work by Dybala down the right in the build-up.

The Aquile pulled one back after the interval when a Danilo Cataldi corner from the right broke loose in the area, resulting in Alex Sandro turning the ball past Mattia Perin in the Juventus goal.

It then came time for another Juventus hero to bow out as Dybala also bid farewell to the home support at the Allianz Stadium, where his 68 goals are more than any other player has ever scored at the venue.

However, the last word was left to Sergej Milinković, who ensured Lazio did rain on Chiellini and Dybala’s parade somewhat by securing a point with a 96th minute leveller by pouncing to lash past Perin on the rebound for a share of the spoils.
