Juventus eyeing deal for Real Sociedad loan star | OneFootball

A player to have spent this past season plying his trade in La Liga has emerged as a leading transfer target on the part of Italian heavyweights Juventus.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing transfer insider Gianluca Di Marzio, who point towards Nayef Aguerd as the player in question.

Aguerd for his part spent the 2024/25 campaign on the books of Imanol’s Real Sociedad.

The Moroccan international went on to play a leading role for the Basque outfit, racking up 36 appearances across all competitions.

After it long became clear that Aguerd’s time at Anoeta would not be extended into next season, though, a number of clubs quickly expressed an interest in his signature.

And as alluded to above, on Friday, the identity of one such suitor has been revealed.

As per MD:

‘Juventus are closely monitoring Nayef Aguerd, according to transfer expert Di Marzio, and are reportedly already in contact with West Ham (the defender’s parent club).’

The Bianconeri, it is claimed, are ready to offer up Daniele Rugani in part exchange for Aguerd, with talks between the parties ongoing.
