Juventus will try to fill the void in their defence caused by the potential departure of Giorgio Chiellini, who is understood to have targeted a move to MLS this summer.
According to a report from Corriere dello Sport, Juventus could choose between Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic and Arsenal’s Gabriel to replace Giorgio Chiellini at the club.
The 2021/22 season could be Chiellini’s last campaign at the Piedmontese side, with the defender reportedly considering making a transfer to the United States. Los Angeles FC and Inter Miami are seemingly interested in signing the veteran defender this summer.
The 37-year-old’s departure from the Old Lady could result in Massimiliano Allegri missing the robust defensive skills of a top-rated defender from next season onwards. Therefore, there are talks of landing a potential superstar who has already received rave reviews for his defensive mastery in Europe.
Bound to La Viola’s contract until June 2023, Milenkovic has several admirers, including clubs from Premier League and other top European leagues. Gabriel has a contract at the North London club until June 2025. However, the Brazilian has been on the radar of Juventus for a while now.
