Juventus are reportedly lining up moves for Valencia defender Facundo Gonzalez and Monza’s Carlos Augusto.
As reported by Sky Sport Italia, they are in advanced talks for the transfer of Gonzalez, who has given the green light for a move to Turin amid interest from Salernitana and AC Milan.
Juve are working to wrap up the deal next week and they could loan out the Uruguayan prospect once the move is complete.
Despite not making a single appearance for the first team, the Mestalla youth product broke into the spotlight after helping Uruguay win this year’s FIFA U20 World Cup.
The 20-year-old was also part of the side that finished runners-up at the U20 South American Championship.
The Bianconeri view the towering young centre-back as a player for the future.
Gonzalez could be Juve’s third permanent summer signing after Timothy Weah and Arkadiusz Milik.
Sky Sport Italia claim Juve have contacted Monza about the availability of left-back Carlos Augusto as a replacement for Alex Sandro.
Augusto’s impressive 2022/23 campaign has caught the attention of Juve, but they are not alone in the transfer race, with Inter Milan also pushing for his services.
The Brazilian full-back has emerged as a replacement for Robin Gosens, who is close to leaving San Siro amid heavy interest from Wolfsburg.
Following the departure of Juan Cuadrado to arch-rivals Inter, Juve are seeking reinforcements for the right-back position, identifying Valladolid’s Ivan Fresneda and Spezia’s Emil Holm as potential targets.
