Juventus are now understandably serious about Sergej Milinković-Savić, who, over the years, has been linked with a plethora of clubs, including Manchester United.

According to what is reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport‘s Carlo Laudisa, Andrea Agnelli is preparing an ambitious operation to sign Sergej Milinković-Savić in the upcoming January transfer window.

The interest in concluding a January transfer for the midfielder has grown extensively following a summit between the club authorities after the weekend’s 2-0 thrashing at the hands of Milan.

However, the report understands that it would not be easy for the Bianconeri management to convince Lazio president Claudio Lotito, given that the player has a contract until June 2024.

Lotito would like to see the midfielder play away from Italy. While he intends to keep the player out of the sight of Lazio’s rivals, it is believed that the club president and the player have an agreement that would force the chief to let the Serbian leave if a “top-class offer” arrives for the 27-year-old sooner rather than later.

A year ago, Lotito wanted a figure of around €‎100 million for Sergej Milinković-Savić. But with time passing, the asking price has seemingly reduced, although there has been no drop in the level of productivity from Milinković-Savić.

Juventus will thus test the water with a bid of around €‎50 million plus bonuses to reach the €‎60 million mark in January. The offer will be made to tempt Lazio’s conviction. If needed, Juve could also get rid of Weston McKennie, who has multiple suitors in Bundesliga.
