Juventus are exploring their options to shore up their frontline and are mulling a move for Patrick Schick, who’s not seeing consistent action at Bayer Leverkusen. He has logged 14 appearances but started just 5 times, 2 of which in the domestic cup, for a total of 503 minutes. He has hit the net four times.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Bianconeri will test the waters about a potential loan or other creative formulas. It wouldn’t be the first time they did business with Die Aspirin in recent years. Xabi Alonso’s stance will be pivotal.
Juventus almost acquired Schick back in 2017 when he broke out at Sampdoria. However, the transfer was nixed due to some problems with his medicals. On the other hand, he didn’t miss time afterward moved to Roma. He flopped in the Italian capital, especially considering a €42M investment, but he bounced back in the Bundesliga. He starred for RB Leipzig before joining Bayer Leverkusen for €26.5M in 2020. The 28-year-old has racked up 137 appearances, 58 goals, and 12 assists with his current club.
In the meantime, Arkadiusz Milik, who’s been out since the spring due to multiple knee injuries and surgeries, has been cleared to proceed to the final step of his rehab, Gianluca Di Marzio informs. He should be back on the pitch in December.
It appears that they will spend to fix the defense, which is in much worse shape, while they’ll settle for a loanee or a somebody cheap up front. Still, there’s a solid chance they won’t do anything if the matches without Dusan Vlahovic go okay and Milik and Nicolas Gonzalez return well.
