Paul Pogba will leave Manchester United on a free transfer this summer, with top European clubs showing interest in securing the services of the French superstar.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are closing in on the signing of the Paul Pogba. The midfield maestro seems determined to leave Man United after the expiration of his contract with the Premier League club this summer.
The report understands that Juve representatives will meet with Rafaela Pimenta, a partner and lawyer in Mino Raiola’s agency (a firm that represents the player), on Monday for lunch. And in the meeting, there will be talks of the Frenchman’s potential summer move to Turin between the two parties. There is said to be a possibility of potentially finding an agreement today itself.
The Italian club has understandably readied a three-year offer for the 29-year-old midfielder. Before joining Man United in 2016, Pogba had a bright spell at Juve. While Juve have a wage ceiling for about €7 million per season, they could be willing to increase it to around €8 million per season for the Frenchman.
Under the current circumstances, it is believed that a player of Pogba’s ilk will be perfect to elevate the collective quality of the Bianconeri midfield. But the club will also evaluate Pogba’s fitness as they appear to be concerned about the player’s injury record. Other than Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly after the free signing of the 2018 World Cup winner.
