Juventus chairman Andrea Agnelli has revealed that he feels ashamed for what is going on at the Bianconeri.

Juve are already pretty much out of contention to head to the next round of the Champions League, as they lost 2-0 to Maccabi Haifa. They did beat the Israeli side in the reverse fixture, but the Old Lady now have a fight on their hands to even qualify for the Europa League.

After the defeat and amidst talk of Max Allegri’s potential sacking, Andrea Agnelli spoke to Sky (via TMW) and he revealed that he is ashamed of the current situation.

“Today is a difficult evening but it is a difficult period. It is one of the most difficult periods, it is time to assume responsibility and I am here for this. I feel ashamed for what is happening, I am angry, but I also know that in football you play 11, you lose with 11 and you win with 11.”

The club chairman also spoke about Allegri’s position and whether he will stay at the club after the defeat or not, claiming: “He is just one person. It’s a group matter. There is shame, the fans are struggling to go out on the street right now. “

This is the first time in history that Juve have lost three of their first four Champions League games and in the league, they recently lost to Milan in Serie A.
