Juventus have officially called off their pursuit of Genoa striker Gianluca Scamacca.
Scamacca – originally on loan from Sassuolo – was a primary target for the Bianconeri with manager Andrea Pirlo looking to bolster his attacking options.
Juventus were pushing for an initial loan deal with obligation to buy, although Sassuolo pushed for a permanent transfer worth €22m for the forward.
According to Goal, this lead to lengthy negotiations but both clubs were unable to reach an agreement.
Scamacca has scored six goals in 16 appearances this season.
