Juventus manager Thiago Motta remains tight-lipped on Federico Chiesa’s future.

Speaking in an interview with La Repubblica following Juventus’ first outdoor training session for the new season, new head coach Thiago Motta did not have much to say when asked about star man Federico Chiesa’s future with the club. However, his words meant that he wished to keep the conversation open regarding the Italian winger as he said: “He is part of Juventus at the moment and then we will see.”

The 26-year-old has expressed displeasure with the team set-up since last season under Massimiliano Allegri as he deviated from his natural position of a winger to play as a striker. With The Bianconeri not making any first-choice striker signings till now, Chiesa suspects that his wish to feature as a winger might not be fulfilled.

Chiesa has exponentially improved since arriving at Juventus and Thiago Motta will not be looking to let him leave for his debut season. A solution is expected to be reached but other clubs are keeping a keen eye on him for the time being.
