Juventus boss Max Allegri has revealed that the club’s goal for the season right now is to cross the 40-point mark.

The Bianconeri, before the game against Salernitana, were at 15th in the Serie A table but their 3-0 win over the Salerno-based outfit means that they have climbed up to 10th, three points behind 9th placed Bologna, who recently picked up a 2-1 win over Fiorentina.

Dusan Vlahovic grabbed a brace and Filip Kostic scored once in a convincing win for the Old Lady and it was their first in four games in the league.

After the win, Allegri was asked by DAZN (via TMW) about the league season’s goals and he stated: “I look at the reality of things. We are at 26 points: we have to reach 40 and then we’ll see, in the meantime we have climbed positions. Now the goal is to reach the other side of the standings”.

The Bianconeri’s points deduction meant that their points tally was reduced and as of now, they are 12 points away from the 18th spot. They are 13 points behind the fourth spot, which means that they are currently slightly closer to relegation than to the top four, with an important clash against Fiorentina coming up.
