Juventus got back into the win column with a composed 1-0 win over Lecce to move back into the top two in Serie A.
Scorers: Milik 56′
After a disappointing and frantic showing at Sassuolo last time out, Juve will have come into the night keen on a more stable performance.
Federico Chiesa looked to have the chance to fire Juve into the lead after finding an opening down the left-wing, but the wide-man somehow flashed his effort just wide of the post.
It took until the second half for Juve to create their next big- chance, but this time they would not waste the opportunity. Arkadiusz Milik showed his penalty-box senses and tapped home a headed on ball at the back post to open the scoring.
Unlike at Sassuolo, Juve looked composed with the ball at their feet. And with the lead, slowed the game down to a crawl to hold onto their advantage.
A late sending off for Mohamed Kaba when the Lecce man received his second yellow on the night was the final straw in the visitor’s defeat, ensuring Juve collected the win.
The three points take Juve up into second in Serie A for now.
