Thiago Motta and Juventus have confirmed a 20-man matchday squad list for their UEFA Champions League meeting with Manchester City on Wednesday night.
The Premier League champions will be desperate to mount some form together in Europe’s premier club competition having gone winless in their last two matches in relatively disastrous performances in both.
A 4-1 away defeat against the then-Ruben Amorim led Sporting CP was followed up by a 3-3 draw against Dutch side Feyenoord at the Etihad Stadium, despite leading the game by a 3-0 advantage with just 15 minutes remaining.
The Italian giants’ European form isn’t much better either, drawing 0-0 on matchday five away to Aston Villa, in an outing that was preceded by a 1-1 draw away to LOSC Lille of France and a 0-1 home defeat to Stuttgart of Germany.
Juventus and Manchester City are both level on eight points in the UEFA Champions League table at present and both sides will be desperate for a win to climb the leaderboard and close in on the elusive automatic qualification positions for the round of 16.
Before then, the Italian club have confirmed their squad list to take on the Premier League champions at the Allianz Stadium in Turin this week, with some notable absentees from the roster available to manager Thiago Motta.
Goalkeepers: Mattia Perin, Carlo Pinsoglio, Michele Di Gregorio
Defenders: Federico Gatti, Danilo, Pierre Kalulu, Nicolo Savona, Jonas Rouhi
Midfielders: Manuel Locatelli, Teun Koopmeiners, Weston McKennie, Kephren Thuram, Nicolo Fagioli, Douglas Luiz
Forwards: Francisco Conceição, Dusan Vlahović, Kenan Yildiz, Vasilije Adžić, Timothy Weah, Samuel Mbangula
Absentees from Thiago Motta’s squad list against Manchester City on Wednesday night are confirmed to be as follows:
