After making his Barcelona first-team debut last season and impressing at the U-19 European Championships, some of Europe’s top teams have started lining up for 19-year-old Juan Miranda’s signature.
Miranda is widely considered to be one of the most valuable and promising young defenders in all of Europe and, according to Sport, a pair of clubs have made concrete offers for his services.
The report states that Juventus are attempting to land the left-back on a permanent deal, but Barcelona are absolutely against any such proposal unless it includes a buy-back clause.
Ligue 1 side Marseille have reportedly offered to take Miranda on loan, which would allow the player to gain valuable first-team experience and stay under contract at Camp Nou.
With his contract expiring in 2021, everyone involved realise how important this season could potentially be for Miranda’s career.
Barcelona had attempted to loan Miranda to Real Betis as part of a potential deal for Junior Firpo, but the player insists he wants to play abroad.
In addition to three Copa del Rey matches, Miranda started and went the full 90 minutes during Barcelona’s 1-1 Champions League draw with Tottenham back in December.
