Serie A giants Juventus are advancing in a move to sign Bologna defender Riccardo Calalfiori in the summer transfer window.

Calafiori has been impressive in the Serie A this season for the Rossoblu, as he continues to witness a rise under manager Thiago Motta. Giovanni Albanese has reported that the idea of signing Calafiori is gaining momentum at Juve and the move is progressing, with the player very much keen on the switch.

While that will not change the dynamics of the move but it is certainly a positive for the Bianconeri. Calafiori is seen as a replacement for Alex Sandro as the club want a left-footed defender to replace the outgoing Brazilian. The Italian is valued by Bologna at about €25 million to €30 million, but Juve could offer a player in the deal to make it happen.

Fabio Miretti and Hans Nicolussi Caviglia could be part of the move and otherwise, Juve could sell someone like Dean Huijsen to make financial room and then sign Calafiori outright.
