And, just like that, 2020/21 is over. Here’s how it went for Juventus.

After winning the last nine championships, Juventus’ domestic dominance ended in rather deflating circumstances.

However, finishing fourth can be viewed as a silver lining thanks to Napoli’s final day collapse as it looked like they would, unthinkably, fail to secure Champions League football at one point.

Champions League – last 16

It was another season of agony for the Old Lady in Europe as they exited the Champions League in the first knockout round with a shock defeat to Porto.

Coppa Italia – Winners

The Bianconeri avoided ending the season without a major trophy as Dejan Kulusevski inspired them to victory over Atalanta in Reggio Emilia.

The first trophy of the Andrea Pirlo era was secured with a 2-0 win over Napoli in January.

He’s now 36 but Ronaldo remains the most important man for Juve.

Even in a season of disappointment for supporters, he still took his game to heady heights.

Two Ronaldo penalties and a Weston McKennie volley showed the potential of Andrea Pirlo’s side as they pipped Barcelona to first place in the ground with a clinical showing at Camp Nou.

They had to win by three goals to take top spot … and went and did just that. Ruthless.

This is the reason the insatiable forward scooped star man honours.

Ronaldo ended the campaign with a total of 37 goals and five assists across all competitions in this third season at the Allianz Stadium.

Although Chiesa’s star was already in the sky, it remained to be seen whether he could replicate his fantastic Fiorentina form in Turin.

He answered those doubts in emphatic fashion and has been extremely impressive in his maiden season, which he ended with 14 goals and nine assists, including a Coppa Italia final winner.

What comes next?

An all-out assault on getting their title back. The priority is wresting the Scudetto back from Inter but it remains to be seen if Pirlo will be the man charged with doing it.
