Juventus are reportedly hopeful of signing Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba in a cut-price deal next summer.

The French international looks set to be leaving Old Trafford at the end of the season, after comments from the player’s agent, Mino Raiola, earlier this season outlined that the midfielder is destined to leave the club.

While the 27-year-old has been in good form of late, it has done little to prevent talk of his exit, with a move likely to happen in the summer rather than in the current window.

As per the Express, Pogba’s former club Juventus are keen to re-sign the player on a cut-price deal next summer.

The Serie A side will be hoping to take advantage of the fact that the midfielder is in the final 18 months of his current contract and will only have a year left come the summer.

With little hope of the player signing an extension, United have accepted that the Frenchman is set to leave the club and will be keen to recoup a significant asking price.

The Italian club, however, are reportedly expecting United to lower their asking price, with the Premier League side wanting to earn some form transfer fee rather than letting him leave for free in June 2022.

The report suggests that I Bianconeri have previously offered the likes of Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot in exchange for Pogba, although it would appear that the Red Devils are keen on cash rather than agreeing to a player-swap deal.

The World Cup winner previously spent a hugely successful four year spell in Turin between 2012 and 2016, before moving to United for a club record £89m deal.

Since then, Pogba has helped United to Europa League and League Cup success, while he is currently playing a key role in the club’s push to claim a 21st league title.
