Although Barcelona had maintained throughout that Hansi Flick’s side would start the first La Liga match of the new season with Joan Garcia in goal and one or two more reinforcements registered, the matter has not yet been fully resolved.
However, the Catalans can finally breathe a little easier now.
Indeed, according to SPORT, sources within Barcelona now affirm that Joan Garcia’s registration is fully secured. His appearance in La Liga’s official system is only a matter of time, and there is not the slightest shadow of doubt in this regard.
Flick will be able to count on his top-class goalkeeper for the season-opener against Mallorca at Son Moix tomorrow.
The situation of Marcus Rashford is also on the way to being resolved. Within the club, there is optimism, but it is acknowledged that additional documentation has been submitted in recent hours, and the coincidence with a public holiday could cause timing delays.

At Barcelona’s offices, there is still hope that Rashford’s registration could be finalised today, but nobody dares to guarantee it.
In the worst-case scenario, there is full confidence that the registration will be completed tomorrow, before the match against Mallorca.
Barcelona reiterate that all necessary documentation to process the registration has already been provided, and in Rashford’s case, it is now strictly an administrative matter. It is considered that there are no longer any financial obstacles.
Tomorrow morning, when Flick’s squad list for the Mallorca trip is announced, both Garcia and Rashford will be included among the travelling party.
As per the report, the rest of the registrations, such as Wojciech Szczesny, will have to wait until next week, when new documentation will be sent to La Liga
