Reds manager Jurgen Klopp has provided injury updates on the likes of Joel Matip, Dejan Lovren and Fabinho ahead of Liverpool’s Premier League clash against Manchester United this weekend.

The Reds enter this weekend’s clash at Anfield 14 points clear at the top of the Premier League table with a game in hand. Manchester United sit in fifth, which highlights the gulf in class between the two sides.

According to Klopp, there is a chance that Matip, Lovren and Fabinho will be involved in the preparations for the clash against Liverpool’s biggest rivals.

“I wait really until they are on the pitch and somebody tells me they are allowed to do the full session,” Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com.

“It looks like Joel will be in, it looks like Fabinho will be in maybe a day later, I’m not sure. Dejan, maybe he can be in as well.

“That means a lot and helps massively of course. But we will see how it looks. The week is very important.

“The game on Sunday against United, we all know what people expect from us from that game. It will be a big one as well and we try to be ready for that.”

This is huge news. The Reds have got through quite a tricky period in their season. The club have been extremely busy since December, and when you consider some of the injuries they have had to deal with on the way, they are in a very strong position heading into the second-half of the season.

Getting the likes of Matip, Lovren and Fabinho back strengthens Liverpool’s squad, which makes them more of a force to be reckoned with. Things are only looking up for the Reds.
