Jurgen Klopp remained coy on Mohamed Salah’s long-term Liverpool future as the German prepares to leave Anfield.

Sunday will see Klopp lead the Reds out at home for the penultimate time in his trophy-laden spell on Merseyside before he leaves at the end of the season.

Slot emerged as their leading target to replace Klopp last month and talks are believed to be underway.

Salah’s future at the club is up for debate. The 31-year-old has struggled for form since returning from the Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year amid injury issues.

He will just have a year left on his contract at the end of the season and has previously been targeted by Saudi Pro League side, Al-Ittihad.

They made a strong case to sign him last summer but Liverpool stood firm.

While Klopp insists the fallout to his apparent argument with Salah on the touchline during last week’s draw with West Ham is “completely resolved”, he stopped short of confirming the forward would stay.

"It's not my subject anymore,” he said on Friday.

"I don't think I should speak about it, others will decide that, especially Mo. Those decisions will be made by other people".

Salah has been a remarkable signing for Liverpool since joining from Roma in the summer 2017, winning almost every major trophy available and scoring 210 goals in 346 games.
