Julian Weigl leaves Borussia Dortmund for Benfica switch

Borussia Dortmund have confirmed the departure of Julian Weigl who has joined Benfica.

Weigl’s contract at BVB was due to expire in 18 months time but the German giants have confirmed that they have accepted a fee of €20m from the Portuguese side.

Weigl will complete his move once a medical is passed later this week.
