Julian Nagelsmann 'trusts' Jamal Musiala to feature at the 'six'

Just a few weeks ago, Germany boss Hansi Flick suggested that Bayern starlet Jamal Musiala could be used as a defensive midfielder and Julian Nagelsmann seems to agree.

The 18-year-old Musiala is clearly a star in the making and now Nagelsmann is lamenting not experimenting with him at the number six position.

“With Jamal, in retrospect, I am annoyed that I didn’t test him at the six. I should have done that earlier, I’m annoyed about that.

“I trust him to do it. He had good defensive sequences against Augsburg.”

Musiala has been phenomenal when he’s been on the pitch, scoring four goals and assisting four others – contributing to a goal every 71 minutes.
