Current RB Leipzig manager Julian Nagelsmann has made it clear that there could be plenty of changes coming when he takes over the Bayern post this summer.

At a press conference announcing a partnership between FIFA and German start-up Kinexon, Nagelsmann explained how he’s going to use both data and the eye test to bring a new perspective to Germany’s top club.

“I take notes with a pencil, I’m not just a laptop coach,” said Nagelsmann. “Then I check my feelings and observations by looking at the data.”

He then offered an interesting take on the 4-2-3-1 formation – which Bayern have utilised for several years now.

“When I started as a coach in the Bundesliga six years ago, almost every opponent played in the same formation: 4-2-3-1. It wasn’t that difficult to analyse them.

“Now, almost every opponent plays a different style. Data can help with analysis.”

With Leipzig seven points behind, Bayern will claim the Bundesliga title should they earn the victory against Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday or should Leipzig fall to Dortmund.
