Sky Germany reports that despite interest from Bayern Munich, Julian Nagelsmann developed a bad feeling about returning to the club.

Max Eberl and sporting director Christoph Freund were pushing to bring Nagelsmann back to the club with the former manager being the main candidate to replace Thomas Tuchel at the end of the season.

However, Karl Heinz-Rummenigge, a member of the supervisory board was critical of bringing Nagelsmann back to the club. This disagreement between Rummenigge, Eberl and Freund gave Nagelsmmann a bad feeling about returning.

On top of this, Nagelsmann would have also had to work on planning the squad for Bayern’s rebuild in the summer, whilst also managing Germany at Euro 2024. Instead, Nagelsmann opted to extend his contract as German national team boss, as his current deal was set to expire after the Euros.

Bayern must now, once again, restart their search for someone to replace Tuchel as both Nagelsmann and Xabi Alonso have rejected Bayern in the past few weeks.
