According to a report by German outlet BILD, Julian Nagelsmann is said to be interested in the Tottenham Hotspur managerial role ahead of next season.
Nagelsmann was the leading candidate for the Chelsea job before he reportedly withdrew from the shortlist according to Fabrizio Romano.
The 35-year-old had multiple rounds of talks with the West London club before making his final decision.
Spurs suffered a bruising 6-1 defeat at the hands of Newcastle United on the weekend under the stewardship of interim head coach Cristian Stellini.
Stellini’s side remain fifth in the Premier league, six points adrift from fourth-placed Manchester United who have two games in hand on the North London club.
Despite Spurs’ debacle at the weekend, Nagelsmann is ‘very tempted’ to take over next season and the German coach is now ‘concentrating on this option’, as reported by BILD.
Although the author of the article, Christian Doering, interestingly states: “Will he think about it again?“
